Hillary Clinton plans a demonstration of her political strength at the Democratic Convention by gathering her own delegates—and supporters—at a separate venue before formally releasing them to vote for Barack Obama. The Wednesday reception-rally at another convention center is viewed as part of Clinton's strategy for a potential run at the presidency sometime in the future, reports AP.

Some Clinton delegates plan to vote for her despite being released. "This is much bigger than Hillary," said a Clinton delegate from Texas. "I have a responsibility. I do not own my vote. I have to represent the voters who sent me." (More Hillary Clinton stories.)
