Cops had to deal with an unusual intruder at a California ice cream shop last weekend—a sweets-loving bear. According to a social media post from the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched on Sunday to the eatery at South Lake Tahoe's Camp Richardson, where they found what the Los Angeles Times calls a "big surprise." That surprise was a giant bear seated behind the counter. "The deputies could barely believe their eyes," the sheriff's department noted.

After a bit of coaxing, deputies were able to get the bear, nicknamed "Fuzzy," out of the shop, "but only after [it showed] interest in the strawberry ice cream," the office added. Authorities say the bear caused little damage and that cleanup was also minor. Officials did warn locals that, despite such sightings generating buzz, "bears are not ideal customers and should not be tempted with sweet treats," per KRCR.
