An 8-year-old Arizona boy charged with fatally shooting his father and a tenant confessed to the crime in a chilling videotaped police interrogation, CNN reports. The boy, sitting cross-legged in an overstuffed arm chair, explains that he finished off his father after shooting him "because he was suffering." No lawyer or adult relative was present while the boy was questioned, according to a defense attorney.

"After I shot him once he was still moving, I think I shot him again," the third-grader says in a high, shaky voice on the videotape, which was released by prosecutors. He buried his face in his jacket as a female officer asks, "You OK, sweetie?" Earlier in the interrogation, the boy claimed he came home from school to find both men dead. " I saw blood and I cried for about 30 minutes, just crying right next to him," he said.
