Mothers and their children were eating breakfast in a Frankfurt church yesterday when a wild boar came crashing in through a glass door, Der Spiegel reports. The sow ran feverishly around the room and exited the same way it came in, leaving moms and kids standing on chairs and tables for cover. They were rattled, but unhurt; the evangelical church offered "psychological support" to any in need.

Minutes later, a police officer reported a fatal collision with a wild boar on a nearby bridge; police believe it was the same sow. Yesterday's rampage was not the first boar attack this year in Frankfurt, where roving wild boar gangs are becoming a common sight. They have already attacked car thieves and run amok in a home improvement store.
