Samantha Power will have plenty of time to tell Hillary Clinton how she really feels. The former Obama foreign policy adviser, who was forced to resign during the campaign after calling Clinton “a monster,” is now working on the State Department’s transition team, Politico reports. With Clinton expected to be named secretary of state any day now, things could get awkward.

One official close to the transition team said Power had “made a gesture to bury the hatchet,” which Clinton approved of, the AP notes. Power is a Pulitzer-winning author and noted expert on genocide, but she was forced to step down after accusing Clinton of “stooping to anything” on the campaign trail. “The amount of deceit she has put forward is really unattractive,” she said at the time.
