'Outrageous' CNN reporter wants tenants evicted from NY loft

Man’s best friend has an enemy in Soledad O’Brien, the New York Post reports. The CNN correspondent and other members of her building’s co-op board are trying to evict a family from their Manhattan loft because of their pooch. “She told me at a shareholder’s meeting that my dog stinks,” said Steven Lyons, owner of Ugo, a 150-pound mastiff.

In a 20-page affidavit, O’Brien, the board’s secretary, complained about Ugo’s “size, slobbery, shedding, drooling, gassiness, and odors.” Lyons said neighbors welcomed him, his wife, and three children when they bought their $3 million, 4,000-square-foot loft in 2003, but that changed when they got Ugo 2 years ago. O’Brien’s “behavior has been particularly outrageous,” said Lyons, whose wife added, “She did get in my face.”
