The Bush family may be saying goodbye to the presidency yet again, but the family patriarch isn't letting go of his hopes to see another of his sons ensconced at the White House someday, Politico reports. “Maybe Jeb’ll do something," said President George HW Bush, during an impromptu Inauguration Eve visit to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave with his wife. "I hope he does. I hope he tries.”

Former first lady Barbara Bush admitted that the visit was bittersweet. “We’re going to enjoy tomorrow, too. It’s a very exciting day,” she said. “It’s just sad to say goodbye to the White House staff for the second time.” She revealed the transition is difficult for George W. “I think he’s sort of emotional,” she said.
