Not Everyone 'Fawning' Over Prez Obama
Of the flubbed oath, Lloyd Garver writes, "Roberts was obviously too busy to have rehearsed this oath, but shouldn't Obama have been smoother?"   (AP Photo/Jae C. Hong, File)

You might be euphoric after Barack Obama’s inauguration, but “not everyone feels the ‘Obama high,’” writes Lloyd Garver on the Huffington Post. These “Democrat-haters” who “enjoy puncturing balloons of hope” probably viewed Inauguration Day through slightly less rose-colored glasses than you did: For one thing, “How bad was that inaugural poem? It didn't even rhyme. And Aretha Franklin's hat looked like something Dick Cheney tried to shoot.”

What’s more, “The fawning press is sickening. Why did nobody in the media have the courage to say, ‘That's an ugly dress?’” Weightier questions abound: “If Obama can't even handle an oath, how is he going to handle the problems of a nation in trouble?” But the president’s biggest let-down is his broken promise: “I didn't see a puppy up there with Obama and friends, did you?”
