The coach of a Dallas high school girls basketball team that trounced a rival 100-0 has been fired, reports the Dallas Morning News. The Covenant School coach was canned after posting a message on a youth basketball internet site disagreeing with his school's apology for the cagers' massacre of a team from the Dallas Academy, whose students have learning disabilities. The Covenant team was a contender for the state basketball championship last year.

"We played the game as it was meant to be played," wrote the coach. "My girls played with honor and integrity and showed respect. If I lose my job over these statements, I will walk away with my integrity." The school had called the "shameful" victory one that "does not reflect a Christ-like approach to competition."
