Cards' Warner Should Be Lock for Hall of Fame

Kurt Warner belongs in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and it’s only because NFL teams have dreadfully misused his talents that anyone would dispute that, Dan Pompei writes for the Chicago Tribune. Green Bay signed Warner but failed to develop him. He later took the Rams to two Super Bowls, but they gave up on him while he struggled with injury.

The Giants then signed him, but their running-based offense was mismatch, and New York cut him in 2005. The best the tragically underestimated Warner could do was latching on with lowly Arizona, and look—the Cardinals play Sunday in the Super Bowl, a feat they surely couldn’t have achieved without him.
