Limbaugh Slaps Himself to Mock Torture Debate

Rush Limbaugh slapped himself silly, groaned, and sighed on-air today to make a comment about the newly released Bush torture memos, the Huffington Post reports. Trying to demonstrate that torture techniques approved by the Bush administration—and revealed by President Obama this week—are less painful than terrorist strikes, Limbaugh took a hand to, we assume, his face.

Listeners to hour 2 of Limbaugh heard: "*SLAP* I just slapped myself! *SLAP* *SLAP* *SLAP* I'm torturing myself, right now! That's torture!" In other Limbaugh news, Republican Rep. Todd Tiahrt of Texas said this week that Limbaugh is "just an entertainer." Perhaps he forgot that "similar remarks by Republican politicos have led to abject groveling at the throne of Rush," Arthur Delaney writes on the Huffington Post.
