Kanye West says Jay-Z’s new album, Blueprint 3, will not feature the Auto-Tune effects West himself has relied on in the past, MTV reports. “We actually removed all the songs with Auto-Tune off of his album to make the point that this is an anti-Auto-Tune album,” said West, who is producing the record. “Even though I released an album that has all Auto-Tune!”
“It doesn’t matter to me,” West continued. “It’s music; it’s just sonics.” He also praised Jay-Z’s record, which is “gonna be amazing when he drops it.” The rapper is “taking his time to give people the best product possible,” West said, “and not being rushed by this fast-food, media-outlet, Internet, everything-is-getting-leaked, people-stealing your-songs-before-you-can-mix-them-and-put-them-online world we’re living in right now.” (More Kanye West stories.)
