Vermont Senator Patrick Leahy, a long-time Batman aficionado, will play a role in the upcoming Batman movie, "The Dark Knight." And while President Bush and some members of the GOP may think he has the title role, he plays only a small part as a "distinguished gentleman." The movie will be released in 2008.

Leahy is donating his earnings from the film to a library in his home state. The senator was uncharacteristically silent about his part in the film saying only, "I don't wear tights." (More Patrick Leahy stories.)
