Emmy Nod Would Make Fawcett Proud

Farrah Fawcett’s Emmy nomination came 3 weeks after her death at 62, but it would have made her proud, pal Alana Stewart tells the Los Angeles Times. “This would have meant so much to Farrah,” says Stewart of the outstanding nonfiction special nod for Farrah’s Story, on which Fawcett was an executive producer. Her companion Ryan O’Neal “was very excited and happy,” Stewart adds.

“This wasn’t a role for Farrah. This was her life,” Stewart says of her film about Fawcett’s cancer battle. “She felt if she was supposed to go through this, she wanted to help other people. She lost the battle, but she won the war by encouraging and helping people.” (More Farrah Fawcett stories.)
