Italian Paper Releases 'Tapes' of Berlusconi Escort Tryst

Silvio Berlusconi’s prostitution scandal flared anew today as Italian newspaper L’Espresso released audio recordings made by the woman who claims she was paid to attend a party with the Italian PM, the BBC reports. On the recordings, a voice said to be Berlusconi’s says: “I’m going to have a shower too, so wait for me in the big bed if you finish first.” “Which big bed?” a woman asks. “Putin’s?”

“Putin’s,” the man responds, allegedly referring to a bed where Vladimir Putin had recently spent the night. “Oh, how sweet,” the woman, supposedly Patrizia D’Addario, says. “The one with the curtains.” A Berlusconi spokesman slammed L’Espresso as trying to revive an “already dead” scandal.
