Former Spitzer call girl Ashley Dupre is “deep and throaty” on her second single, writes Dan Aquilante for the ever-so-subtle New York Post. Dupre “has turned feminist riot grrl” in a tune that might be inspired by “a dumped high-school sweetheart,” or maybe “her freedom from the likes of ‘Client 9.’” The positive review is part of Dupre’s exclusive deal with the Post, writes Hamilton Nolan for Gawker.
Dupre will give the tab “exclusive interviews and sexxxy exclusive photo shoots in hooker heels,” in return for the Post publicizing her musical career. “It is a trick, Ashley!” Nolan continues, noting that Aquilante, “the critic forced to write” the review, managed to get in a dig at the end with subtle “references to hookers and lap dances.” (More Ashley Dupre stories.)
