Nancy Garrido has been placed in isolation after other inmates threatened to rape and kill her, sources tell CBS News. Like her husband, Phillip, Garrido is charged with 29 felonies stemming from the kidnapping and imprisonment of Jaycee Dugard. Though she’s expected to seek bail, it’s unlikely to be granted, analysts say. Sources say Garrido is “very lonely” in jail, and spends her time reading the bible.

“In a prison system there is a certain code of morality,” says one prosecutor, “and this type of crime ranks at the very, very bottom. So it doesn't shock me either one of them has been threatened.” The Garridos profess to be religious; a CBS correspondent says that, while in prison for rape 30 years ago, Phillip Garrido refused a transfer to a mental hospital so that he could continue his religious studies.
