Martha Stewart says she lost more than a billion dollars by going to prison, but don’t cry for her: it’s humanity that lost out. In an interview to air tonight on Nightline, Stewart laments having been “prosecuted in such a way,” saying she lost an “inestimable” amount of money, "probably more than a billion dollars, of course." She adds: “All I can think so much is what I could have done with all that, and for the good of mankind.”

She adds that she doesn’t kick herself over the whole insider trading thing. “There are other people to be kicked.” One of them, presumably, is Rachael Ray, whom she dissed for her baking deficiencies, among other things. “She’s more of an entertainer, with a bubbly personality, than she is a teacher, which is me.” And then, the final indignity: “I don’t know if she has a garden; I don’t think so.” (More Martha Stewart stories.)
