Rudy Giuliani will run for US Senate next year as a possible steppingstone to a presidential bid in 2012, sources tell the New York Daily News. Giuliani plans to challenge Kirsten Gillibrand for the remaining two years of Hillary Clinton’s term. Cuomo has not announced his candidacy but is widely expected to challenge incumbent David Paterson for the Democratic nomination.
