Stocks turned lower as service-sector activity contracted in October and traders awaited tomorrow's report on November payrolls, the Wall Street Journal reports.

  • The Dow fell 87 points to close at 10,366.
  • The Nasdaq lost 12 points, settling at 2,173.
  • The S&P 500 dropped 9 points, closing at 1,100.
