Grizzled Green Bay gunslinger Brett Favre passed John Elway to claim the most wins in NFL quarterback history with 149 victories under his belt. He did so with a characteristic second-half performance featuring 14 straight completions and two of his three touchdowns, which brings him within three of Dan Marino's record of 420. New York's Eli Manning started despite a sore shoulder.

He was moderately effective, going 16 of 29 for 211 yards with a score and a pick, but his defense betrayed him with its second straight lackluster showing. Favre downplayed the importance of his milestone: "I think it's unfair that the quarterback gets labeled with wins and losses," he said. "I think it's a team effort." (More NFL stories.)
