Kevin Drum wants his fellow liberals to "wake up and smell the decaf" on health care reform. Stop whining about the fading public option and keep things in perspective. "The bill in front of us—messy, incomplete, and replete with bribes to every interest group imaginable—is still well worth passing," he writes at Mother Jones.

It's going to help tens of millions of people in tangible ways, all without raising the long-term deficit. That's more than Bill Clinton, LBJ, or even FDR ever did. Ten years ago, liberals would have been thrilled to be on the brink of getting this legislation made into law. "So pass the bill," Drum writes. "The longer we wait, the worse it will get. Pass it now." (More health care reform stories.)
