Child Services Investigates Sheen

For those wondering when the Department of Children and Family Services was going to step into the Charlie Sheen mess: It has. Following their Christmas blow-up, the LA branch is investigating Sheen and wife Brooke Mueller, and their 9-month-old twins could be taken from them temporarily. “When Charlie and his family step off the plane in California, they’ll be greeted by social workers,” a DCFS insider tells HollywoodLife.

Sheen and Mueller will be monitored by two social workers, including drug testing three to five times per week, and a “clean” third party—it could be a relative—will likely have to move in. Officials at Colorado’s Pitkin County Department of Social Services earlier said they are also considering an investigation. The silver lining in all this? Ratings for Sheen sitcom Two and a Half Men are up since his arrest, the New York Post reports.
