NBA Players Pull Guns in Locker Room

Local and federal authorities are investigating after two NBA players threatened each other with guns in the team locker room on Christmas Eve. Volatile All-Star Gilbert Arenas pulled a gun on Washington teammate Javaris Crittenton, to whom Arenas owed money, the New York Post reports. "I'm not your punk!" shouted Crittenton, a third-year journeyman.

The dispute led to the team's acknowledgment the next day that Arenas had brought firearms to the facility. "It's in the hands of authorities. We're going to get to the bottom of this," said Ernie Grunfeld, GM of the Wizards—the name that replaced "Bullets" because the old name was considered too violent, the Post notes. "This is unprecedented in the history of sports," said the executive director of the NBA players union. "I've never heard of players pulling guns on each other in a locker room."
