Enquirer: John Edwards Is Trying to Cheat

John Edwards is cheating again! Or at least, that’s the big headline of the latest National Enquirer. The tabloid says Edwards went on a “sex-and-booze bender” after a seemingly “marriage-ending blowout fight” with Elizabeth. Only this sex-and-booze bender seems remarkably short on sex, at least according to the snippet posted online. The Enquirer’s main witness is a bartender who alleges that Edwards repeatedly tried, but never succeeded, to get in her pants.

“I think he's scum,” opines Stephanie Breshears. “He was definitely looking to pick up women when he came in here—and he wanted me to go back to his house.” She says Edwards came in four consecutive nights, starting with Dec. 30, each time hitting on her and other bar patrons; she heard him tell one he was “separated, soon to be divorced.” (More John Edwards stories.)
