Conservative provocateur Andrew Breitbart is escalating his feud with MSNBC's David Shuster with a column not-so-subtly headlined "How David Shuster Lied to Get Me to Appear on MSNBC." It follows a TV interview in which the two clashed over the motives of James O'Keefe in the phone tampering case. (See video.) Breitbart says Shuster dishonestly presented himself as a neutral party who would be objective, and prints emails between the two to prove his case.
"I have no horse in this race," Shuster writes in one. He also says he's not biased like Keith Olbermann or Rachel Maddow. In his column at BigJournalism.com, Breitbart points to Shuster's own tweets immediately after O'Keefe's arrest in which he calls him a "wingnut," among other things. (The network, in fact, has called them "inappropriate," reports Politico.) "If Shuster is their idea of journalistic neutrality, I can continue to sleep well acting as a journalist who openly admits that he comes to the table with a unique political perspective."
