Former ER star George Clooney found himself back in the hospital—no cameras this time—after breaking a rib and suffering a few scrapes in a motorcycle crash on Friday, reports the AP. The 46-year-old actor was smart enough to wear his helmet but forgot that "You can't pass on the right in Weehawken or anywhere in Jersey."

Clooney and friend Sarah Larson sped up to pass on the right a Mazda Millenia about to make a right turn. Authorities don't know if the driver of the other vehicle had used his turn signal; the accident remains under investigation and no summonses have been issued. Larson broke her foot. Clooney's latest film, Michael Clayton, will be released next month. (More George Clooney stories.)
