24's Sutherland Tagged With DUI

Kiefer Sutherland might be torturing himself after LA police charged the 24 star with driving under the influence early this morning. The actor was pulled over around 1:30am after making an illegal U-turn, the LA Times reports, and failed field sobriety and Breathalyzer tests.

Sutherland, 40, was released around 4am after posting $25,000 bail. He has an Oct. 16 court date to answer the misdemeanor charges. Sutherland faces a minimum of 5 days in jail if convicted, E! Online reports, because this is his second charge. He won a best actor Emmy last year for his role on 24, which returns in January. (More Kiefer Sutherland stories.)
