As Hillary Clinton makes a run for the White House, another first lady seeks to take the reins directly from her husband's hands. Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, a senator widely dubbed "Queen Cristina," enjoys a 25-point lead over her closest rival in next month's election. The Kirchners have been crisscrossing the globe to advertise, essentially, their shared presidency.

Néstor Kirchner became president in 2003 during an economic crisis and has supported his wife's campaign rather then risk a lame-duck second term. His wife, who has focused almost exclusively on foreign affairs, will meet with Bill Clinton tomorrow, the Times reports. But she ignores domestic affairs at her peril: Inflation has hit 15%.
