Figuring out the worth of an Oscar is tricky business, but the Vulture blog at New York gives it a try for some of this year's big winners. Jeff Bridges, for instance, likely picked up $125,000 for being nominated and another $125,000 for winning Best Actor. Those bonuses—built into his contract for taking the role—could be double or triple had he been in a big-studio blockbuster instead of the indie flick Crazy Heart.

Sandra Bullock probably isn't so lucky. When she signed onto The Blind Side, insiders say it's unlikely she negotiated any Oscar bonuses from Warner Bros. It just didn't seem possible at the time she'd even be in contention. Best-supporting actor Christoph Waltz got no bonus from the stingy Weinsteins on Inglourious Basterds, but because of his nomination, his representatives got him an extra $100,000 from Sony Pictures for his next movie, the Green Hornet.
