McCain is in a tight primary fight with JD Hayworth, who is attempting to paint the senator as insufficiently conservative. Palin delivered some much-needed Tea Party cred: McCain, she said has been "leading the fight against reckless spending for decades." Palin was greeted with massive applause, highlighting the fact that since 2008, the onetime governor's political fame has eclipsed that of her running mate. After Palin's introduction, McCain delivered a rousing speech against the new health care reform law, calling for repeal and a "peaceful revolution" to cut government spending, CBS News reports.
