The college football landscape shifted yet again this weekend as underdogs upset five teams ranked in the top 10, ESPN reports. The biggest to fall was No. 3 Oklahoma, which lost on a last-second field goal to Colorado. Fourth-ranked Florida also lost yesterday, along with No. 7 Texas and No. 10 Rutgers. West Virginia (No. 5) fell the day before.
"We've played good games before, but this is the first time we have really kicked the door down," said Colorado tackle George Hypolite of his team's 27-24 win over the Sooners. About the only stability in the rankings is at the very top. USC (No. 1) and Louisiana State (No. 2) each won, though USC had to overcome 16 penalties and three turnovers.
