The nude models in the Museum of Modern Art just can't get any privacy. Visitors have been pointing, touching, groping, snapping photos, and even trying to find the models, part of a Marina Abramovic performance art exhibit, on Facebook. One of the males tells the New York Times of one visitor: “He proceeded to slide his hand onto my ribs and back and then touched my butt. As he was passing me he looked me in the eyes and said, ‘You feel good, man.’ ”
It gets worse: The same model has felt more erections "across the back of my hand than I can count." The performers agree with MoMA officials that most visitors behave properly. (Those who don't get the boot and lose membership.) But there have been enough to make an impression. “I didn’t think that would happen at all," says another model. "Who’s going to do something with all these people around?” (More Museum of Modern Art stories.)
