Hawaii Votes to Ignore Birthers' Requests
Barack Obama's birth certificate.

Fed up with the constant pestering from birthers, Hawaii's legislature today voted in favor of a bill that would allow the state to ignore any repeat requests to see Barack Obama's birth certificate. The law, which now goes to Gov. Linda Lingle, would carve out an exception to the Hawaii's normal public records law, allowing officials to skip all kinds of duplicate requests from the same organization or person, including those for the birth certificate.

State officials say they still get 10 to 20 emails a week requesting the document, reports the AP, despite repeated public statements verifying the president's citizenship. (More Barack Obama stories.)
