Sarah Palin appears to have embraced her inner girl power. In the past 10 days she's endorsed three women in various GOP primaries, and in a speech before an anti-abortion group on Friday she made it clear that wasn't a coincidence. “This year will be remembered as the year that common-sense conservative women get things done for our country,” she said, according to the Washington Post. “The mama grizzlies, they rise up.”
Nor did she stop there, speaking of an “emerging conservative feminist identity.” She recently commented on the Arizona immigration law by telling a girl's basketball team in Illinois to "go rogue" and play there rather than forfeit in protest. The new emphasis could pay dividends if she decides to run in 2012, the Post observes, since she'll almost certainly be the only major female candidate in the race. (More Sarah Palin stories.)
