A 25-year-old woman who sought a filthy-rich husband on Craigslist got an economics lesson from an eligible banker, who described her plan as "a plain and simply crappy deal." "Your looks will fade," he told her, "and my money will likely continue into perpetuity." The ad and reply have widely circulated online, Reuters reports.

"$250,000 won't get me to Central Park West," the woman complained, seeking a hubby worth at least a half-mil a year. "In economic terms you are a depreciating asset and I am an earning asset," the response said. A JP Morgan banker whose name was attached to the reply when he forwarded it was believed to be the author; the bank has denied it. (More Craigslist stories.)
