Chelsea Clinton Wedding Details a Big Mystery

Both the location of Chelsea Clinton's July 31 wedding and the guest list are under intense scrutiny and impenetrable secrecy, New York reports. The reception is limited to 400 guests, a tiny portion of the Clinton network, so Chelsea has instituted a no-strangers policy—she must actually know every invitee. No word on whether her intended, investment banker Marc Mezvinsky, has a similar rule.

The location is being kept under wraps—“The wedding planner will contact each guest directly a week in advance and let them know where it is,” a source says. The Hamptons reportedly are out, because of traffic concerns. More likely is a location in upstate New York, such as Westchester or Dutchess County. Also not on the guest list are Bill Clinton's love handles: Chelsea has instructed her dad to slim down for the reception. (More Chelsea Clinton stories.)
