The Red Sox suffered their first postseason loss last night as the Boston Bullpen let a 6-6 tie explode into a 13-6 embarrassment in the 11th inning. Starting pitchers Curt Schilling and Fausto Carmona both left high scores in their wake after just over four innings, but Eric Gagne got the loss by sparking Cleveland's final, devastating rally, reports the Boston Herald.

After Gagne put two men on and was yanked from the game, former Red Sox Trot Nixon pinch hit against Javier Lopez to drive in Cleveand's go-ahead run. A wild pitch, a single, a double, and a Green-Monster home run later, the game was out of reach for Boston. "Had I executed, we should have won," said Schilling. (More MLB stories.)
