Looks like TBS’ campaign worked: The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien was nominated for an Emmy this morning, while Jay Leno was snubbed. Miniseries The Pacific scored the most nominations with a whopping 24, the AP reports. Glee followed with 19, including best comedy series, lead actor and actress in a comedy series, and supporting actor and actress in a comedy series. For the complete list of nominees, click here.
Glee wasn't the only new show to do well: Modern Family and The Good Wife also received nominations. Nor was Conan wasn't the only fan favorite to score: Betty White was nominated for her appearance on Saturday Night Live. Speaking of SNL, its 12 nominations brought it to a total of 126 since it began, putting it over the top of ER's record 124. Not surprisingly, HBO was the network with the most nominations at 101, Variety reports.
