After complaining about New York City's high taxes, Rush Limbaugh is parting ways with the city, selling his posh Fifth Avenue penthouse for $11.5 million. Limbaugh, who bought the place for $5 million in 1994, recently said on his radio show that he was going to "get out of New York totally" because of a state income tax surcharge, and he predicted last week that LeBron James would bypass New York in order to save up to $20 million a year in taxes, the Wall Street Journal reports.

New York City taxes on the sale will total about $164,000, while New York state will take another $161,000. The ten-room condo features its own private elevator, a 30-foot-wide living room, and views of Central Park. The space is richly appointed with hand-painted murals, a gold-leaf ceiling and silk damask upholstered walls (click here for photos).
