Harry Reid has opened a significant lead over Sharron Angle in a new Mason-Dixon poll, after relentlessly attacking his Republican opponents for over her far-right views. “He’s had five perfect weeks,” the pollster tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “The race has been all about her, and he’s been doing a good job of pounding her.” In two key counties, Angle has lost ground in every voting group, including Republicans and independents.

Reid is currently ahead 44% to 37%, with 10% undecided, 5% choosing neither, and 4% backing a third party candidate. That big undecided block is Angle’s best hope, the pollster said. “I wouldn’t write her obituary just yet. Three and a half months is a lifetime, and at some point, she’s going to start fighting back.” (More Harry Reid stories.)
