Rush Limbaugh is as unapologetic as Andrew Breitbart that Shirley Sherrod's message got twisted, and yesterday he bashed Fox News anchor Shepard Smith for his decision not to run the video when it first surfaced. "Even Fox caved on this. Even poor old Shep Smith went down there and said that everybody's wrong on this, that Breitbart is wrong and so forth," he said, blasting "cowards in the conservative media."

Politico notes that Limbaugh joined Breitbart's line of defense that the story isn't about Sherrod but about the NAACP and its criticism of the Tea Party as racist. He also complained that President Obama is "tribalizing" the country. "We aren't Americans anymore. We're all members of different racial tribes, and we are to be pitted against each other: Black Americans, White Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans. We're all being divided up racially, by tribes.” (More Rush Limbaugh stories.)
