Jersey Gov: Snooki Is All NY's Fault

Jersey Shore is bad for New Jersey, especially because most of its cast are from out-of-state, Gov. Chris Christie told ABC’s This Week. "What it does is it takes a bunch of New Yorkers," Christie complained, "drops them at the Jersey Shore and tries to make America feel like this is New Jersey."

Christie said the reality show doesn't show "the real New Jersey" and did his best to give state tourism a boost, the Star-Ledger reports. "We've got another 6 weeks or so of summer left," the governor said. "Come to New Jersey." (He's not the only one who's unhappy: The Shore cast is "aggravated" with The Situation and his huge ego, a source tells the New York Post.) Christie was talking about The Situation et al because of yesterday's NYT profile of Snooki; click here to read Cathy Horyn compare her to a turnip.
