There is no nice way to lose your job, especially during a recession. But, not every "you're fired" is created equal. Here, courtesy of Oddee, are some of the worst—and weirdest—job-loss stories out there:
- Waitress canned for cancer cut: After losing her father to cancer, a Canadian woman raised $2700 by shaving her head for the cause. Her employer wasn't moved by her new bald look and she, sadly, was sacked.
- Teen fired for Facebook update: OK, so changing your status to "bored at work" isn't so smart. But what exactly was the boss doing on Facebook? Perhaps he was also a tad "bored."
- Accountant let go for 'confrontational' caps: Next time you have the urge to write an ANGRY EMAIL to your BOSS, think twice. A woman from New Zealand lost her job for sending emails that used not-so-friendly capital letters and colors.
- Man axed for heroic arrest: A waiter from Florida was hailed a hero when he spotted a woman being car-jacked and ran from a restaurant to help. He saved her, but couldn't save his job. His boss wasn't impressed.
