Harry Reid has found another nugget from Sharron Angle’s past with which to bash her. This time, Democrats are circulating a video shot at a Tea Party rally last year, in which Angle slammed a recent Nevada law mandating that insurers cover autism and maternity leave, the Las Vegas Sun reports. “Everything that they want to throw at us is now covered under ‘autism,’” Angle said, throwing big air quotes around the word.

“How about maternity leave?” she continued. “I'm not going to have any more babies, but I sure get to pay for it on my insurance. Those are the kinds of things that we want to get rid of.” Angle is referring in part, News 4 explains, to a Nevada law that passed on a bipartisan 60-2 vote, requiring insurers to cover autism. Reid released a statement alongside the video, saying that it “represents a new low, even for Sharron Angle.” (More Sharron Angle stories.)
