Irony alert: David Pogue writes about the iPhone quite a bit in his job as the New York Times' tech writer, and it was an iPhone that got him charged with disorderly conduct Monday night. He and his wife, who are in the process of divorcing, got in an argument, which Pogue's wife started recording on her phone. A struggle ensued, and Pogue claims his wife bit his arm. She, on the other hand, claims he hit her in the head with her iPhone, the Westport News reports.

Further irony alert: Pogue was asked about the situation while speaking at a benefit for domestic violence victims last night. Apparently unaware that the incident had been reported, he called his divorce "really messy." When specifically asked, however, about the domestic dispute, he quickly switched to "no comment." Hat tip to Pat's Papers for the find. (More iPhone stories.)
