It started out like any other kids’ lemonade stand—children pouring drinks to learn the value of a buck—but then the experience got a little too real: A car full of teenagers pulled up threatening to beat the kids unless they handed over money. The group of Ohio children described the thieves as two teen boys wearing skinny jeans and blue hoodies, driving a rusty, green car with three girls in the back seat. They got away with at least $13.50. But the story had a happy ending: A good Samaritan left $20 at a local police station to make up their losses.

"As a parent, this is upsetting," a woman tells Fox 8. "This shouldn't happen at a lemonade stand. It should be simple summer fun and they made it frightening for the kids." (More Ohio stories.)
