Apparently telecommuting is very important to some people. So important, in fact, that a new survey shows 5% of people would get a divorce in exchange for the chance to work from home. Other than marriage, what else are people willing to give up in order to telecommute? LiveScience reports on the poll by online communications provider TeamViewer:
- Daily showering: 12% of respondents
- Half of their vacation days: 15%
- An increased salary: 17%
- Shopping: 20%
- Their smartphone: 25%
- Chocolate: 29%
- Texting: 30%
- Social media: 34%
The survey also found that 32% of respondents thought they would be much more productive if they worked at home, while an additional 54% believed they would be at least as productive as they are at the office. (More
