Vandals have defaced an Israel Holocaust memorial, and officials are pointing the finger squarely at ... ultra-Orthodox Jews. Phrases like "Hitler, thank you for the Holocaust," and "Jews, wake up, the evil Zionist regime doesn't protect us, it jeopardizes us" were scrawled at 10 locations at Israel's Yad Vashem memorial, the AP reports. One was signed "world ultra-Orthodox Jewry," the memorial's chairman says, noting that the graffiti was written in good Hebrew handwriting. Some ultra-Orthodox Jews believe that a Jewish state shouldn't be created before the Messiah's arrival; a conspiracy theory holds that the founders of Israel worked with Hitler to establish the state.
