The NBA world is abuzz with ESPN reports of a huge four-team trade that sends Orlando star Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers. Denver and Philadelphia also got in on the deal, which involves at least 10 players and all kinds of draft picks. Kobe Bryant is said to be "ecstatic" about his team's new addition, though the league still must sign off on it.

At Bleacher Report, Adam Fromal assesses the winners and losers, and two points stick out: The Lakers are the easy big winners, considering that Howard joins the likes of Bryant, Metta World Peace, Pau Gasol, and Steve Nash. But Miami's LeBron James can't be thrilled: "Now, LeBron's repeat efforts have to go through the Los Angeles Lakers, and winning a second straight championship will be anything but easy," writes Fromal.
